Born on the 14th October, 1960 in Billiri, Gombe State. He is the Principal Partner of SAMKONG CHAMBERS. A 1983 graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria with LLB (Hons), was called to the Bar in 1984 (Thirty-Seven (37) Years post call). He has worked with the Federal Capital Development Authority, Abuja, Rims Merchant Bank Ltd, and Rims Secretaries Ltd Lagos, where he rose to the position of Group Company Secretary/Legal Adviser and Head of Administrations for many years before he voluntarily resigned to establish this Legal Outfit. During the course of his sojourn as a private Legal Practitioner, he was elected as the Chairman of Abuja Branch of the NBA. And not long after his election he was nominated by the Federal government of Nigeria to provide Technical Assistance as a prosecutor to the Republic of Gambia.

He has an LLM from the University of Jos and particularly specialized in Drafting, preparation and perfection of different types of Agreements especially credit, finance, loan, syndication agreement etc. he has special interest also in Civil Litigation. A member of National Executive Committee of NBA and has been Chairman Electoral Committee of NBA, Abuja branch four times, etc. Hon commissioner for Special Duties, Gombe State Government, Member Associate MCIArb. UK, Bencher, Chairman-Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation, Secretary/Hon. Commissioner-Gombe State Committee on Distribution of palliative and was conferred with the prestigious rank of S.A.N in December 2020.
